Explore Boston, the capital of Massachusetts, one of the most history rich and oldest cities in the U.S.  In addition to the historical sites the harbor also offers whale watching, cruises, museums and an aquarium.

Here are a few examples of what your trip could include.

  • Plimoth Plantation Take a journey back in time at Plimoth Plantation with their living history exhibit sites. Book an overnight trip, visiting for two days, sleeping at the Museum, and participating in special evening activities.
  • Boston Tea Party Ship and Museum Rated one of the best new museums by Yankee Magazine, your students will not just observe, they will participate in acts of revolution!
  • Boston Museum of Science Among the 500-plus exhibits, you might meet a dinosaur or a live butterfly, find out how much you’d weigh on the moon, battle urban traffic (in a computer model), or climb into a space module
  • Fenway Park Visit the park where the Legends like Babe Ruth played. Catch a game, sing along to Sweet Caroline and touch the Green Monster.
  • Freedom Trail The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile red-brick walking trail that leads you to 16 nationally significant historic sites, every one an authentic American treasure.
  • Bunker Hill Monument The Bunker Hill Monument stands tall at 221 feet. It stands on the site of the first major battle of the American Revolution, fought on Breed’s Hill, June 17, 1775
  • Boston Commons The country’s oldest public park, the 45 acres of Boston Commons have served as a cow pasture, a military camp, and the site of hangings, protest marches, and visits by dignitaries. Today the Common is the first stop on the Freedom Trail.
  • USS Constitution Museum The USS Constitution Museum serves as the memory and educational voice of USS Constitution, by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the stories of “Old Ironsides.”
  • JFK Memorial Library This museum captures the 35th President’s accomplishments and legacy in video and sound recordings and fascinating displays of memorabilia and photos.
  • Old North Church Officially named Christ Church, the Old North Church is best known for its steeple, which famously displayed the lanterns signaling the advance of the British troops – “one if by land, two if by sea.”
  • Paul Revere House On the night of April 18, 1775, silversmith Paul Revere left his small wooden home in Boston’s North End and set out on a journey that would make him into a legend.
